Guidelines for Reading Promotion Programmes

These guidelines will communicate to stakeholders (policy makers, academics, teacher trainers, administrators and school staff) guidance through a series of Guiding Principles, Strategies and Approaches, to be used when designing and implementing a reading promotion programme. All different areas of reading promotion will be covered (e.g. designing and managing whole-school reading promotion programmes; reaching disadvantaged pupils and families; involving parents; promoting reading to boys; reading promotion through ICT, etc.).
